Slot loading CD-RW?

I got my new Pioneer 106S DVD drive, and painted the bezel metallic so it would match my Lian-Li PC 68+USB, and it looks friggin' sweet now. Unfortunately I can't bear to put my crappy 6x4x24 Creative tray burner in there, even with it painted metallic. Those slot drives are just too slick. Anyone know of a halfway decent slot-loading CD-RW drive?

I don't think there exists one because in a slot drive it would be difficult to keep the disc balanced enough to burn at high speeds.

Of course, that may be complete BS, but that's my guess.

There aren't many CD slot-loaders because CD-ROM/RW drives usually have to support those "mini-discs". Like those orange AOL discs I used to get. I think they're 3.5". I don't think slot-loaders would be able to take those little discs in correctly, but trays have the little indentation for them...

Well, the Pioneer 106 comes in both the slot and tray loaders.....why not do the same for CDRW? If a person, such as myself, knows that I'm not going to burn/distribute AOL disc ;), I won't need the tray and could get by with a slot-load. That would be VERY cool....only if I were an engineer, I'd really know the true answer. :D
