Whats up everyone? I had a question about the "hardly talked about" Slot A Thunderbirds. I have an Asus K7M motherboard and I'm looking to upgrade the chip. I heard this board can run the Slot A Tbirds so I was wondering about overclocking. Do the Slot A Tbirds have Golden Fingers on them? Would I be able to use my current K7OC GFD to overclock it? Or is this bad boy completely locked down? Anyone have this config? Anyone rip the case off their SlotA Tbird? Thanks...

yes, the slot A's have the "golden fingers" on them. I don't have experience using GFD's, but the goldfigers are the same on the T-bird as on the classic, so I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work.

i got a slot a tbird with a fic sd11. i got my slot a 700 to 1 gig! at 1.85 volts. i wuz running it at 900 at 1.6 which is below default i think. i heard that 95% of the slot a 700's are 900 cores and the other 5% is like an 800 core. These are really nice tho! and u should get better performance on ur k7m!

oh ya btw i have a northwind gfd on mines, also i have tried the afterburner. the ninja micro doesn't work for some unknown reason.

I have a slotA Tbird 900@1100 (10x110fsb) using a home made GFD in an ASUS K7M. Runs great.
