So, I hate the new changes but am trying to get used to it but thats not the point of this....

has anyone noticed the "enterthread=y" in the address bar when you enter a thread? if you change it to "enterthread=n" or just take it out you get the exact same thing, so why, why on earth is it there?

Also IMHO, there is no reason for catid to be there once you are in a tread because it should pull that from the database since every thread is has a unique number.

Just my .02....

Oh, and i hate that it logs me on when i post now - that "feature" SUCKS
 
Maybe "enterthread=y" saves something to the database noting that you've entered the thread? maybe having the catid in the url lets the software look up the thread from a specific table in the database, thus making it faster.

Yeah, enterthread sounds like what marks the thread as read, probably to make note of it in the my forums screen.
