I have an older Asus P2-99 motherboard and a 370 Slocket. The board claims that i can support P3s up to 900mhz. My qestion is this, is there any reason that I can use a 600-800mhz Celeron?

I don't know the answer to your question, but If you don't get a answer here, maybe try the motherboard forum page and maybe list your title as Asus p2-99 help needed.
