My specs
pIII 450 at stock speed
GA-6BXC mobo(model i440BX-8671 rev 1.9)
quantum fireball 3.5 5400 rpm 8.4 gig HD
64MB pc100 sdram + 256mb pc133 sdram
GF4 mx440 golden sample (was going real cheap)
es audiodrive 1869 soundcard(yes its crap I may change it
Im a noob to tech matters and I wanto upgrade my cpu (HD also) only. I heard the best i can get is a socket 370 celeron(P3s still too expensive) but I need a 1->370 slocket.
1: My question is are 1->370 slockets universal or do I need to get one for my particular mobo?
I dont wanto buy a celeron and find it wont fit.
2: Looking at my mobo specs above (it Ocs to 133 fsb but I THINK runs ram at only pc100) will it bottleneck the cpu, soundcard or a GF4mx440?
