It's a good deal...especially with the 92mm panaflow super-quiet fan. Just that this has been posted recently and lots of people have been emailed their own coupons.

For higher-heat CPUs you might use Panaflo M1A, but with that 'sink there's diminishing return on 92mm fans over 80mm, you could still get lowest-noise with moderate heat CPUs with the 80mm L1A.

Yeah, I think everyone bought one during the last 2 sales. Personally I am still waiting on my SLK900 and M1A that I ordered on 10/22. First SVC forgot about my order and then shipped it and gave me a bad tracking number. I don't know where it is now because they won't respond to my emails.
 
SVC has had it's share of ups 'n downs, growing pains. Could be they're swamped or out of stock but expect more soon enough to keep the order processing, I wouldn't worry about 1 week, if you're getting a good price a week isn't too bad a wait. If you really wanted rapidly shipped product there's always Newegg.
 
They just moved, so no doubt, things aren't working very well. They sent me the wrong fan and I've yet to hear back from them on my RMA e-mail. But, I'm not worried. I understand how these things go sometimes and has been mentioned, SVC has been an EXCELLENT company. So why shouldn't I cut them some slack and see if this is just a momentary hiccup?

And, if you don't want a vacation, I'd remove the coupon code from your post 🙂

SVC is no worse than any other of the best retailers out there. I'm just confused by their shipping prices. I explained it all in the last thread w/ this deal. But then again Neweggs shipping isn't the best either.
 
🙁 I just ordered this heatsink 4 days ago, using the previous coupon code that wouldn't deduct. As well as another little bug I found when adding screws to the cart. I've emailed them about it, but have yet to hear a reply.
 
The Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu pretty much ends up at a similar price as the combos above. Any reason not to go for it instead?

Well for starters it's not as good a cooler.
 
mindless, in terms of relevance to extreme overclocking or what? People have had good things to say about it around these parts as far as I've seen.
 
In terms of how much heat can be removed with "X" amount of airflow. Choose the fan wisely and it can be cooler CPU or quieter, though admittedly only a few degrees or db either way, buy whichever you want, they're both OK except there's no way to make a Zalman suitable for heavy O'Cin'. On some boards the Zalman might fit better, you'll have to measure your board as I don't venture to guess which boards will accept which heatsinks.
