I bought a sling from Academy for my shotgun, but the damn thing is too short. It functions, but it's too tight on the arms and not comfortable at all. Does anyone have a specific sling I can order online and shipped to Texas? Preferably something that someone has and knows that works on a Mossberg 500.

I wish I knew what sling we used on the boat in the Navy... Oh well. Just looking for something simple--a padded or 3-point sling isn't required.

Pistol grip or full stock? Also, check WalMart B&M if you have one locally as they generally carry a few different ones.

I have a blackhawk 15 shell sling for mine, works fine and I think I only paid like $20 for it including shipping on ebay.

Full stock. And I will check out your suggestions. Thanks.

Nice looking gun and not terribly expensive from what I can find. I am debating getting a shotgun to shoot for awhile since .223 ammo is through the roof.

It's an excellent firearm. I purchased this one because Mossberg is the only shotgun to pass MILSPEC tests, and thus be used in the military. Wife hasn't had a problem shooting the 12 gauge either.

If you are actually going to sling it over your shoulder and carry it much, check out the Hunter MagnaSoft slings. They are the most comfortable sling I have ever used - have one on several guns now, including my Mossberg 835 and 935.
