It was beautiful; took a while to get into but it was such a beautiful piece.

So many great scenes, too many to name....:D

You don't see friendships like that everyday:)

Made me feel all mushy inside :p

I've been meaning to watch it again sometime. Maybe I'll do it tonight.

My girlfriend at the time actually got a pair of tickets to a pre-release screening of it, and we filled out long surveys after the movie. They actually changed the movie quite a bit after we saw it (so I heard, I never saw it again!). It was rather weird because they hadn't done the soundtrack yet. :)

Yeah, great film. A story of true love and friendship.
Karl: Just 'cause I ain't gonna be around no more, maybe, don't mean that I don't care for you.
Frank: I care 'bout you too, but you'll be around. Don't say that.
Karl: Doesn't matter where I was to be. We'll always be friends. You and me made friends right off the bat. Don't nobody ever change that. I kindly want to put my arm around you, then I'm gonna get up out of here and leave.
[Puts his arm around Frank]
Karl: I love you, boy.

the moment where he says "I'm proud of you" made me all warm and fuzzy and side.

Karl was no hero, the hero was the dude played by Dwight Yokum. It was his god-given right to abuse women and children because he's white. FREEEEEBIIIIRD!!!

I went out to watch the badger game with some people in the early afternoon after class and then had some people over for a little while after that.

Now I'm sitting at home, wondering what I'm going to do tomorrow.

There were these two fellars standin' on a bridge, a-goin' to the bathroom. One fellar said, "The water's cold" and the other fellar said, "The water's deep". I believe one fellar come from Arkansas. Get it?

I read somewhere that in order to make his walking more awkward and consistent, Billy Bob Thornton placed crushed glass in his shoes.

Another one of my favorite exchanges in the movie:

Vaughan Cunningham: You always seem to be deep in thought. Tell me, what are you thinking right now?
Karl: I was thinkin', I'm gonna take me some of these taters home with me.
Vaughan Cunningham: How about before that?
Karl: Well, let me think... I was thinkin' I could use me another couple cans'o that potted meat if ya got any extree.

I discovered it when it first came out. :p

Because I saw it before the buzz, I didn't even realize that Doyle was Dwight Yoakam until the credits scrolled across at the end.
