It was beautiful; took a while to get into but it was such a beautiful piece.

So many great scenes, too many to name....

I've been meaning to watch it again sometime. Maybe I'll do it tonight.

My girlfriend at the time actually got a pair of tickets to a pre-release screening of it, and we filled out long surveys after the movie. They actually changed the movie quite a bit after we saw it (so I heard, I never saw it again!). It was rather weird because they hadn't done the soundtrack yet.

the moment where he says "I'm proud of you" made me all warm and fuzzy and side.

Any one see the short film? I remember seeing it before a saw Sling Blade. Must of been on IFC or something.

Because I saw it before the buzz, I didn't even realize that Doyle was Dwight Yoakam until the credits scrolled across at the end.
