Anyone check it out? Just installed. Very sharp looking and fast. Takes some getting used to. Search for it on the market.

More info at gizmodo.

Yeah, mine is pretty plain, but I like the newsreader.

Once they get exchange going (or I purchase some stocks), it'll be more interesting.

The main thing for me is how fast the app screen comes up. Hope that carries over if we get the next version of Android.

@Deeko

I can see where it would not appeal to everyone. I do like that someone went in a completely different direction though.

I like it, but will wait before paying $8 (?!). I'll stick with GDE until then.
I don't even use Google Reader right now, have a 3rd party RSS compiler with widgets. Can handle losing the widgets since this basically replaces that, but I want good RSS options.
Once they broaden what the Reader interface can do (in SlideScreen), I'll probably make the move. I do like having quick desktop shortcuts though, so still not entirely sure I'll ever make the move. I really like the style (liked it when I played with the beta for a little while before coming to the same conclusion), but until I can control what panes are there (can you disable the Twitter pane entirely? F twitter), and maybe even add optional panes? I want a place for quick notes that I can access readily. I use AK Notepad and love just having a Notes folder on the desktop.

I like the 8 favorite apps, but I also like GDE's ability to have app folders (all apps is also a folder, can't have folders inside the All Apps directory but you can make categories basically, I have like 6, makes it easy to get to some that are toward the end of the alphabet and aren't, say in the case of SlideScreen, one of your top 8).

How the hell do you uninstall this abortion?

Got it off finally, maybe on a phone with a bit more cpu cycles it's more functional, but not recommended for a G1, really slows it down.
