SLI without the SLI

Do the SLI boards, such as the GA-K8NXP-SLI and A8N-SLI run fine with only 1 graphics card? Obviously they wont run as good with 2, but will they still run stable and faster then the norm with 1? Thank you.

Yes they run fine with one VGA card but it is no faster than a NON-SLI motherboard.
