I think you should not spend all 6000 on the computer

You can get a comparable computer for a significant amount less. If you don't want to build it yourself, I'm sure there are local shops who would love to help you put together the system for a relatively small fee on top of the price of parts.

building it yourself can be a very rewarding choice. Save yourself some money, learn from the experience, and brag to all your friends about how you put together a wicked system.

If you have tons of money, then what i might suggest is to buy parts for a "practice system". Take 5 or 600 dollars, put together a computer, take it apart, repeat until you got the hang of it, then you use the rest of your money to put together your dream system.

 
As most people have said DIY is the way to go if you have the time and money to do it.
6 grand is way to much IMO unless your running a server or something (and even then you can get servers cheaper than that)
