SLI Setup! need help (again!)

Hello! Couple months ago I was going to build a new computer but was told to wait for SLI 🙂 I hear that some people got there boards already and I was wondering how the boards are 🙂. I like asus boards and i want to know how does the asus a8n-sli do against the others ( are there any? 😕 ). I want to build the best possible computer right now but I haven't been keeping up with the latest hardware since I've been playing HL2 and WOW so I would need help finding best

RAM
HDs
for soundcard I was thinking about the new audigy4 or is that not worth it?

I am looking to spend around 3500-4000 but right now would rather know what is the best hardware i can get then I could do some downgrading from that..

I would personally get FX55 Asus A8N SLI 1GB of anykind of ram(corsair crucial and kingston) 2 80GB Maxtor Sata hard drives or 2 74GB western digital raptors in raid 0, Audigy 4 or Audigy 2 ZS and 2 either 6600GTs or 2 6800GTs
 
what is the difference between the 6800GT and the 6800Ultra? I would like 2 of the same card but what is the difference between these 2?

this is what I have so far and I was wondering what would be best for ram and if there were any cons/problems with any of the hardware I've selected ?
