Think of "SLI memory" as an extension of SPD... It contains extra information about the modules, the frequencies/timings they can run and the voltage required to make them run at those speeds.
Assuming you set your BIOS correctly to match your memory you don't need to worry. And as the others mentioned (but failed to explain in detail) it is unrelated to SLI video.
