SLI Question

I don't think that they would work together. First off, the 6800 Ultra (for $499!?!?!?!?!?!? :Q) has 16 pixel pipelines, GDDR3 memory, and faster clocks on both Core and Memory.
(and they don't have the same type of memory. One uses GDDR3 and the other uses DDR memory)

Plus they have different model names?
The rule is any 6800 Ultra will work with a 6800 Ultra. And 7900GT will work with a 7900GT. Any 7800GTX will work with a 7800GTX.

SO, I'm guessing no. A 6800 Ultra will not work with a 6800NU.

After the 80 series drivers came out, you are able to SLi a 6800GT from Asus with a 6800GT from BFG for example. It has to be the same model, but can be from different vendors. So you cannot SLi a 6800 ultra with a 6800GT. (they both use the same core however, i.e NV40 for AGP and NV45 for PCI-e)

If your planning to go SLi, dont look at the 6 series. You should be looking at 7600/7900 series.
By reference a 7600GT is faster than the 6800GS/GT.

Well, you can do like what some guys are suggesting (sell both cards & get a single better card), or you could try flashing one of the cards to the other (Like the GT to an Ultra), but you'd need a better cooler (It's basically OCing the card). I guess it'd be best to ask someone else about flashing the card, though...
