Why pay for what you don't need?
The cooler master psu is not the way to go.
For a non sli system, that doesn't use a dx10 card, get the enhance 5140gh. It is a high quality, quiet psu with 28 amps combined on the 12v rails, enough to run almost all current cards. It uses teapo capacitors, which will not die on you, and overall, the components are of very high quality. It also has 80% efficiancy. It's a bargain for $68, @ ewiz.
If you are looking for bling in your system, this probably won't do the trick though...

To answer your question however, YES, you can use an SLi certified psu for only 1 gfx card. SLi certified only means it has enough power to run dual card configurations. Like I said, you don't need it unless you plan on upgrading to dual gfx in the near future.
if this is the case, I'll need for system specs for a recommendation.

Welcome to the forums!:D

i dont actually have the pc, i am going to be building it.

specs:
Asustek S775 Intel 975X ATX Audio Lan
XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI HDTV OUT
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Socket 775 2.4GHz
Western Digital Caviar 250GB S300 16mb 7200rpm
Corsair Memory TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2x1GB 240-Pin DIMM XMS2-6400 CL4
2 dvd roms and possably another hard drive

i dont plan on going down the sli route and i dont think the mb will support it anyway, one graphics card is good enough for me!
im not looking for bling in my system just a good psu to power the thing, so i dont mind if it does/doesnt have bling.

Yeah, I meant just your planned components.
The enhance 5140gh would be perfect for you. Here's the link.

I'd take the Antec NeoHE 550w w/ 5 yr warranty for $50 after rebate over the Enhance any day. It's not just the wimpy 1 yr. warranty that Enhance offers, it's more expensive, it lacks sleeved cables, it's a non-modular design, and it's not as powerful as the NeoHE. Antec also fixed the issues with the NeoHE on certain Asus mobos by releasing a new revision.

Just my $.02 cents :D

Good deal.

The idea is that Enhance doesn't need a long warrenty because the product is so good. :D I have one, and am glad I do.
