Why pay for what you don't need?
The cooler master psu is not the way to go.
For a non sli system, that doesn't use a dx10 card, get the enhance 5140gh. It is a high quality, quiet psu with 28 amps combined on the 12v rails, enough to run almost all current cards. It uses teapo capacitors, which will not die on you, and overall, the components are of very high quality. It also has 80% efficiancy. It's a bargain for $68, @ ewiz.
If you are looking for bling in your system, this probably won't do the trick though...
To answer your question however, YES, you can use an SLi certified psu for only 1 gfx card. SLi certified only means it has enough power to run dual card configurations. Like I said, you don't need it unless you plan on upgrading to dual gfx in the near future.
