Hello all:

If anyone has any issues getting RAID to work with an SLI system let me know. It took me five hours last night to figure out what my problem was and then to solve it. But now, I just finished installed WinXP for the first time and it went without a hitch. Now it is time to get to configuring this thing. What do you guys usually install first? Service Packs/Pathches first I know this much. But then should I load the latest nForce and nVidia graphics drivers, then antivirus, then apps (Photoshop, Studio MX, etc.), then games? How do you guys usually go about this for the best result/performance?

Thanks.

Damn, 5 hrs to figure out how to install OS on RAID? AntiVirus? Heh.

I clean up WinXP default settings 1st, then install SP2, mobo chipset driver, video drivers, sound card driver, ForceASPI, Nero & CloneCD, Foobar2000, FireFox, etc.

Is [ForceASPI] even necessary nowadays with XP?

Cheers!

I doubt it really matters. I generally install chipset drivers first, then windows updates, then other drivers (i.e. video, sound, etc.). I've never had a problem in 10 years.

Since you're running SLI, if you have a triple or quad monitor setup, then you might want to install the video drivers first to support that. I doubt you do tho, but who knows.
