SLI board want to run 4 monitors

A stupid and quick question
In a sli board if i put in 2 video cards will it display 4 monitors if it is NOT in sli mode, ie just 2 standard video cards

for the life of me i cant remember or cant seem to find the answer

what kind of display do you want?

Each showing the same image or spanned?

Spanned, like extending the windows desktop. no gaming in that mode

Yes, it can do it for 2D.

ATI can also do it.

Meaning you can buy an X38/P35 or 975x chipset.
