It seems to me that this topic hasnt been subject to that much thought.
One 5870 can do 3 screens (soon to be more with eyefiniti 6 cards)
One 480 can do 2 screens (as far as anyone knows..?)
But for gamers, and "hardcore" ones especially, the end result justifies the means.
If one was to trust the current 5-10 % better performance figures to 480s advantage, what will the scene look like with 3 monitor setups in SLI/Xfire modus?
Which cards will provide the best fps out of the single gpu solutions?
Cost/performance crown in this scenario would probably still belong to ATi, but would the performance crown belong to Nvidia?
