SLI 480s vs Xfire 5870s in 3 monitor setups

It seems to me that this topic hasnt been subject to that much thought.

One 5870 can do 3 screens (soon to be more with eyefiniti 6 cards)
One 480 can do 2 screens (as far as anyone knows..?)

But for gamers, and "hardcore" ones especially, the end result justifies the means.

If one was to trust the current 5-10 % better performance figures to 480s advantage, what will the scene look like with 3 monitor setups in SLI/Xfire modus?

Which cards will provide the best fps out of the single gpu solutions?

Cost/performance crown in this scenario would probably still belong to ATi, but would the performance crown belong to Nvidia?

Well, we don't know how well the GTX 480s can overclock...an overclocked 5870 can narrow the 5-10% gap to nearly under 5%, so we need to wait to see some official reviews.
