Sleeveless CD/DVD Storage?

(Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum):

I'm looking for a compact way to store cds and dvds without the scratches that I seem to be accumulating with normal CD wallets.

What I really want is a CD wallet with hard plastic sheets with hubs, instead of sleeves and pockets, but some sort not-so-portable case would be OK too.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

I used to have one of those hard plastic rounded cases which hold about 100 cds and you would line up the selector to the number of the cd and it would lift it up when you opened it. Dunno if they still make those though.

I saw some cases at a computer store that looked very good to me. These are drawers that pop out at the touch of a button, IIRC. They had them in two configurations, single drawer models at $18 each and 4 drawer models at about 4x that cost. The advantages in this system are

1. that it would be easy to find what you are looking for as long as you have a chart or report corresponding disk to slot number.

2. there would be very little stress on the disk. No bending, no scratching caused by the storage.

I don't recall the number of disks/drawer.
