How am I too young? Most people I know at my age, can and will drink alcohol... I simply choose not to.

I don't understand why. It is possible to drink without having negative effects on your life. But I regress.

Why don't you chill out and try adding something worthwhile to the thread.

Peruse the thread a little more and you'll see that I've offered plenty of advice, the OP just chooses not to acknowledge it. Also, I'm quite chilled.

Go to college as an engineering major.
By senior year, you'll learn to live on 8 hours of sleep a week.

And yet there will always be time for neffing, to take you away from the tedium of engineering homework. :p

Thursday night to Friday, I had only about 3hrs of sleep. By the end of the day, man I was dragging. I slept 13 hours then. Woke up, and I was certain of something I was wary of: Yup, I'm sick. Yay.

One of the many nice things I miss about the working world: Sick days.

Yeah, that's why I said something worthwhile.

Please, good sir, offer up some advice if you think mine isn't worthy. Short of pharmaceutical aids, what other options does he have?

No, I had to take out the dogs to piss everywhere.

Alright, now, get into bed and turn off all the lights/computers/tv's/etc. Try to lower the noise levels in your sleeping environment. Also, make sure there's zero light. Light causes activity in the brain which prevents you from sleeping. Also, if you can manage it, think less. Don't think about tomorrow, don't plan things, just...lay there.

Yeah, see... Sleeping isn't really my problem ATM... It's how long I am going to sleep. If I crawl into bed right now, I'll only get 4 more hours at best. >_> That means I wake up at 12:00AM, wait for 8 hours and then I have my first class... RIGHT. Awesome. :(

Four hours in addition to your initial four wouldn't be too bad. You might not be mentally rested, but physically you should be fine. Get off the computer and sleep.

At least you can get SOME sleep. I, on the other hand, and currently living with a sick roommate who coughs hard and sniffles every 1-2 minutes. Try sleeping with that going on.

Take a nytol pill to make yourself drowsy, unfortunately it wont knock you out. Or just stay awake all night, go into school tired as hell since its the first day back its not important, trudge through the day and go to bed really early that day, like 9:00 early.

I'm no expert, but as far as I know oversleeping to make up for previous lost sleep will only make things worse. Get your 7 hours a night and try to keep it consistent.

Nope, there is such a thing as sleep debt. It's good to recover when you can - although the scientific details are sketchy, that's what they think.

Anyways, try [insert innuendo for masterbation here].

We has no alcohol, also I is "pussy"

There we go :)

Oh shut up, don't disrespect the guy for making a decision you obviously couldn't. That's soooo middle school.

While it may yield some results, it tends to send people into a rut. Losing a few hours of sleep once in a while doesn't really warrant an excess of sleeping.

There's a difference between not drinking/doing drugs and labeling yourself. He could have said he chooses not to drink, but instead he labeled himself straight edged. That's a fad.

You can snort cocaine and not have any negative effects on your life.

Um, no, I'm pretty sure you can't.
Of course you can.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

The dude choses not to drink alcohol. Good for him. I chose not to do cocaine. Good for me?

There is no difference.
