Give me a break, seven years in prison? Did he try to plant a dildo bomb in her or something? Seems like overkill to me, the act itself wasn't vicious.

BOSTON (Reuters) - A business executive was sentenced on Thursday to seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a sleeping woman seated next to him on a Delta Air Lines flight from Dallas to Boston.
A statement from the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts said that on April 5, Deepak Jahagirdar, 55, laid a blanket over the 22-year-old woman who was returning from a vacation, unfastened her seat belt, unbuttoned her pants and assaulted her by touching her genitals.

"The woman immediately pulled Jahagirdar's hand from her pants and fled to the rear of the aircraft where she reported the assault to the flight crew," it said.

The crew alerted four U.S. Secret Service Agents who were on board the flight, returning from an assignment in Texas.

The plane was met by state police in Boston but Jahagirdar briefly tried to escape by trying to flee in the walkway between the plane and the airport.

Skin cells taken from Jahagirdar, an Arizona man whom authorities said did not know the woman, showed a "significant quantity of the victim's DNA was present on his hands" after the incident, the statement said.

After his release, Jahagirdar must pay a $25,000 fine and be supervised by authorities for two years.

People are so dumb, frickin' go yank yer crank in the bathroom

Hey at least the flight didn't get diverted. IF I was on that flight I would slap the crap out of that nuthole if it got diverted.

It's a sexual assualt; it's a felony. Felonys carry prison terms.

Hope they check the GPS and other nav logs on the plane to see if it happened just as they were crossing state lines - a federal PMITA prison/judge/jury would rock this guy's world.

I don't disagree with prison, but the punishment doesn't seem to fit the crime for 'attempted molestation'. He put his hand down her pants, she immediately felt him and pulled it out, she ran to the back and complained. The dude is a loser douche but I'm thinking a more hefty fine and less time in jail would be proper.

Why not just do like they do in Tokyo and cop a feel on her boob or something? Sticking fingers where they don't belong is really sick.

Yeah! I mean he was probably just itching her vagina for her! He was doing her a favor!

Chances are this isn't the first time he's done something similar. This is the first time he's been caught.

Delta Airlines logged 30 incidents in the skies in one year, according to papers in the government's case against Deepak Jahagirdar, a health-care executive charged with digitally raping a sleeping 22-year-old Boston woman during a midday flight from Dallas to Boston on March 31, 2002.

Harvard grad, health care executive...I'm sure he has plenty of opportunities and knows how to cover his tracks.

BTW what is your definition of "attempted molestation" if not trying to finger fvck an unconscious woman doesn't fit?

That's what I thought, LOL

reminds me of the Naked Tickler.

And yea 7 years is harsh, but i'm sure that there will be less people tempted to stick their fingers up somebody on the plane

he must have been doing it for a while and she woke up when she orgasamed. to have "significant" amount of "DNA" on his hand it wasnt just a quick reach in, he took her all the way to the happy ending.
