Anyone else ever done this before? I left them in for like 2 hours, woke up, took them out, went to sleep, woke up and now my right eye has been blurry for the whole day pretty much.. I'm not even wearing them, just wearing my glasses, and my right eye is still blurry. Anyone else experience this? :( It truly sucks.

You will probably be OK after a full night's rest without any contacts in your eye. Are you wearing them now? You should not have them in right now, give your eyes a rest.

I have the acuvue disposable and i can wear them 24 horusa day. I've slept with them on before and my eye was a bit dry. That's about it. Go see a doctor if the blurriness doesn't fade. I'm sure it's no big deal.

My wife uses acuvue 2's and she leaves them in for a week straight at a time.

Some people can sleep with them, some can't (i can't, bugs my eyes too much). But your eye is blurry? Sure you just dont need a newer prescription? Maybe you just noticed it cause you're being paranoid, otherwise maybe you should see an eye doctor

Oh didn't realize you had the type you are supposed to be able to sleep & leave in. Your eyes just might not be well-suited for constant wear, give your doctor a call to see what they recommend.

I sleep with my contacts in for up to 30days at a time without EVER taking them out. I just put the overnight solution right into my eyes in the morning to clean the crud off, other than that, I never have a problem with them drying out or anything :)

your eyes are dry. this happens whenever i sleep with mine on. put in some eye drops, but the best thing to do is take them off and clean them.

I've had that problem, go see an eye doctor, what happened to me was that there were bumps under my eye lid that was producing mucus. It kept covering my eye making everything blurry

You people are all genetically engineered freaks. I have worn contacts for about 9 years now and even w/a brand new pair, I cannot have them in my eyes for more than about 10 hours before they get so dry and painful that any attempt to remove them fails b/c they are GLUED to my eyeballs. :Q

How the HELL can you SLEEP w/them in? For days on end? :Q Damn freaks.

You need to be soaking them in some contact solution, not plain old water!

Sweet jesus... read the bottle, that stuff isn't supposed to go directly in your eyes. I mean, obviously some will get in there... but you should be taking them out to clean them, where do you think the crud is going? It's not leaving your eye, it's getting rinsed off your eye, and maybe flowing back into your brain!

it comes out, after I put the stuff in my eyes, the crud ends up on the edges of the eye lashes and I just pick it off :p

Unless the contacts are the one you can wear 24hrs I suggest you not wear them to sleep.

Why? I'm glad you asked. When you wear contacts you cut off the ability of the eye to absorb O2 from the air. Long term effects of this can lead to excess growth of capillaries to supply the oxygen your eyes have been deprived of. This is generally not a good thing.
