Hi guys,

post your results from the integrated benchmark of Sleeping Dogs here. So we can compare properly, please use the following settings.

Settings:

1920x1080, everything maxed (AA set to extreme)
VSync and fps limiter off

Attention Nvidia SLI users:
The original SLI profile for Sleeping Dogs is not optimal. Use Nvidia Inspector to change the compatibility bit to "0x084010F5":

GTX580 3GB SLI@stock, 305.68 WHQL (modded inf), 2600K@4GHz

VRAM # is not right. This game is DX11 supposedly, but i'm not seeing any DX11 features, namely tess. I think this is a game that would be really sweet on multi mon or >1080P screens because the city is very vibrant and the more you can see the better.

This one would be better in the VC&G subforum. I have this game and will post a few benches. I'll do a run at 1600P and another at 1200P to compare to your results.

Game is crushing nvidia hardware from what I have seen.

Nvidia cards have issues with SSAO in this game.

Tried that changed SLI profile and now SSAO works. previously, at 2560x1600 I had to leave SSAO on "normal" and not use extreme AA. Now I can turn SSAO up and keep 60fps. Can't use both that and max AA still though. That makes the FPS drop in to the 40's.

Have to buy the game to run the bench? No stand alone version?

I guess I'll never know how badly my old shitty system runs it then =(

I have 2 GTX 580's in SLI. Yet this game only uses 1 of my cards. How to I utilize SLI for this game.

I am using the same CPU, as you, and I have 2 GTX 580's. Yet my benchmark is far worse than yours.

In your screen shot, it says you have 3GB of VRam so I assume your GTX 580's are running in SLI.

Mine only says 1.5GB. So my question is, how do you get SLI to work with the GTX 580s.

1080p max with AA extreme
Min 33.8
Avg 50.7
Max 66+

However, it runs, plays, and looks much much much better at 1440p normal AA everything else max, and the FPS are nearly twice as well.

both benchmarks were without high rez textures as they haven't been downloaded yet.

It seems that a 7970 moderate OC competes with a 580 stock SLI setup in this game :p

Why does my screenshot come out as a solid black box? It is like you went into paint and filled the whole picture with black. I tried steam, fraps, precisionx, even just pressing print screen. All give me a solid black screenshot.

I am surprised users can figure out what compatibility bit to set for 99% gpu usage for sli but nvidia only gives you 70% or so. Whats up with that?

That happens sometimes. I tried multiple times with print screen and after a couple of tries it worked. Maybe try having the game not maximized.

I don't know why the original bit is not optimal. Maybe the developer didn't follow the SLI heuristics given by Nvidia or Nvidia themselves messed up. It happens.

It seems like AMD cards have very low minimum framerates but better averages by a bit.

2560x1440 Everything max except AA set to High in game

1920x1080 everything max including AA

Remember, his 7950 CF was overclocked by a massive 37.5% (1100/800). The 1240 MHz of your 670 SLI, are they the base of boost clocks?

2500K@4.5GHz and a single 7950.
I did most of the runs overclocked but I did do some at 1080p with the stock 7950 clocks.

I'm surprised my card is keeping up with aaksheytalwar's 7970. Perhaps the bench is highly bandwidth dependent? Overclock scaling at high AA didn't seem to be that great either in this game, only a 25% gain from a 40% increase in core clock and similar in memory clock. Got a lot better result with extreme AA, but it could be because I did that stock bench later than the others after using my computer for a bit. I think I'll be playing at the higher res with high AA, although I'd rather use SSAA without FXAA. I couldn't get any result out of trying to override or enhance AA from the control panel.

No, the stock cards will boost to around 1150 or so maybe 1170 for one of my cards that boosts higher by default.
