I got a 72 nova sitting in my barn at home..... 50 k and i can have that car!
I bet he may have a little more than that in it. i didn't hear him mention it, but might have missed it. Lots of cash in the water cooling, rear end set up, chassis, etc.

You need to go for it. 68-73 Novas are awesome...

meh....this guy comes off as kind of a d-bag IMO, and is just as bad as the people that he hates on in the mustangs.

He put x amount of dollars into an 80 year old man car, with a mushy suspension and fwd, than he goes around racing nearly bone stock 260 hp mustangs and brags about it like he's the cleverest person on the face of the earth.

Add the same amount of money to a car that's already rwd with a v8, and you'll have a much faster, better handling car for the same amount of money. I guess you wouldn't be able to make smug youtube videos about your sleeper if you did that, but you'd have a better car.

Totally agree. None of the cars he spoke about that he owned were sleepers anyway. A sleeper isn't just a 4 door car. Everyone knows the SHO line was fast. Everyone knows the Buick Regal GS and Grand Prix GTP cars of that era had a supercharger and were easy to make fast. But not only do you have to change the cams and blower, you also need to totally beef up that transmission or it grenades very fast.

He comes off as a pompous ass who thinks he came up with the entire sleeper idea and laughs at how others think their car is better than his, yet he is espousing the exact same idea on this video that mine is better than yours.

Even without all that, he's an asshole for street racing and I hope he gets his ass thrown in jail.

Issue is that its still numbers matching, and technically, its my Mom's car...

One of these days i will talk her into bringing it over to my barn and making it a whole heap of fun. Its still a decent sleeper as it is. 350 with a solid lifter cam and a 4 barrel, stick trans. 4 wheel drum brakes make it a bit exciting though...

ls3 miata. i've seen it.

Along those lines, a guy I work with was telling me about this Porsche 914 he'd seen on a trip to a Porsche car show. Reminded me of this thread. LS2 in the back and ridiculously fast.

Gave me some pics I can share, very cool:

Shoe horned in there you can make out the intake, coil packs and one of the headers

That must be scary fast. Such a small, light car with 400+ hp right behind your head.
