sleep dreams...do you stop having them as you get older?

I was talking to my dad and his neighbor last weekend, and the neighbor was talking about these freaked out dreams his wife was having. Then my dad said he couldn't remember the last time he had a dream. That struck me as odd...is it normal to stop having dreams as you get older?

I dont have dreams that I can remember after waking very often anymore. I guess its not a big deal though.

I ahve a hard enough time remembering when I'm awake. So remembering dreams is out of my league.

i vividly remembered my dreams every day when i was 10 or even 12... now i can go months and months without ever waking up saying wow that was a weird dream... i guess it just stopped somewhere around 14-15.... i'm pleased and hope it stays this way (although it was pretty cool when you had a nice erotic dream)...

I have lots of dreams every night - they usually have to do with whatever I was doing the previous day. SOmetimes when I wake up in the morning, I have to rationalize what was real and what wasn't........

I'm 20 BTW.

People say you always dream no matter what. I personally don't dream. Or at least I have NO recollection of a dream or even having a dream whatsoever. This has been true for maybe the last 10 years. Once in a while (maybe 10 times a year), I'll remember a dream. Other than that, my nights are eventless.

I almost never have dreams... or nightmares for that matter so it sorta cancels out.

Or I can't remember them, if thats what it really is.

Same at 31. I tend to try to recall them while driving (no Sirius, gotta do something during commercials) and tell people about the funny ones, more I do of either the more I remember them.

I'm the same way.

Last night I had a dream that Bender from Futurama and I stole one of those prototype dual seat F-16s and we were flying over Pyongyang when we were jumped by a Mig-29 that had been outfitted with AIM-120s. Well, I was flying and Bender was trying to help me with my program for computing the sum of two cubes.

Unfortunately the Migs AIM-120s had been fitted with some super efficient engine and they could give chase for like 10 minutes. So I preform a series of manuevers and evade five of the six missiles, but the last one exploded just outside of its lethal range and damaged the F16.

So we punch out and end up in a rural area. There's a stream where an alien with a heart-shaped head had apparently also crashed. He was unconcious and we tried to revive him by running him through the water (like you would after you catch a fish and want to release it).

We had to stop though because two cobras were swimming through the water at us. One of them got the alien and right before the other one bit me, I woke up.

i had an odd dream last night...

i somehow joined the marines or something. I get dropped off in the wilderness somewhere with a bunch of other recruits with no compass, weapon, or anything... and have to find my way to a base or something. So, i make my way there with only a few others, while other people got lost, or captured. After that, for another training exercise we get dropped off on some mountain base with like 20 other people. We get an m4 with paint in them, and have to last through the night. So, me with the recruits are scattered across the base, and in the woods... pretty much every man for themselves. In the mean time baddies are getting sent in with helicopters as we're all trying to defend ourselves from them. I remember poppin a few baddies, then later during the night when there weren't that many of us left I went camo like arnold did in Predator. Mud covered, and all! After that, I don't really remember anything. That's the end of my dream!

(must be all that counterstrike or something :))

My dream last night:

I was standing next to a 12 story building when I heard someone yell out "EXTREEEME SPORTS!" and saw a man leap off the top floor, bounce off one of those cloth overheads that they have on the 1st floor, and into a nearby pool. He then got out and said "WOAH... that was FREAKING AWESOME!" He then proceeded to go back to the 12th floor and jump off again....

Where then someone opened the window to see what all the noice was, and then the jumper hit him on the way down killing them both.

:(

nothing is worst then having a dream that may happen soon or in the near future, it's evil. I rather not have any! and never had since I was 20, that's 10 years ago.
btw, what about if you dream about getting hit by a car, or sitting in jail. how you like that? :|
