Slavery reparations again: This is ridiculous

Of course it is, but remember, this is a ploy, there is more brains behind this than you may think, this orchestrated event serves a dual purpose: to collect 50$ per "form", and to get media attention, and piss off the down-south rednecks, and get a reaction from them, which in turn, perpetuates his success if you think about it... I dont think any of these people paying for the form, will get anything in return except for a 50$ lesson..

I had decided to drop it, but I went ahead and did a simple search on slavery and the church and found several articles. Here is one. I didn't check for validity. It states that the popes disapproved of slavery less than 600 years ago. With respect to the age of man, that is recent...

The US Government paid out millions to Japanese Americans who where kept in segregation in the US during WWII. So if they realized their wrong and did this for the Japanese, then why not for the African Americans who were decendants of the slaves.

The Chinese people demand reparations to be made because of the travesties that were incurred over the building of the transcontinental railroad. We also deamand additional reparationals due to the unconstitutional &quot;banning&quot; of chinese immigrants way back in the 1800's (i think...i chose a whole century to maximize my guess 😉) Make the check payable to me. We demand $65.3 Billion dollars. that way every chinese person on the planet will recieve roughly $60 each.

What blacks need to do is get on with their lives(unless they were slaves themselves,in which case they deserve to be paid),and be happy they were never themselves slaves and be happy they are free. We also need to get rid of laws that discrimninate against white men and women,affirmative action specifically,and get on with our lives.

By bringing up the past blacks are only hurting themselves by creating a ton of resentment from white people who feel they are now being discriminated against for the actions of our forefathers. If you have endured no slavery personally,stop trying to cash in on the pain and suffering of your ancestors,for you are not the only race which has suffered and there is not enough money on earth to pay off all peoples wrongdoings.

Get on with your lives and stop living in a past in which you did not exist.

classy - You're completely and totally wrong about reparations having been paid to all races who were slaves except for blacks. I couldn't even find one reference to reparations being paid to any other race that was enslaved.

I don't even think that anything is owed to the actual slaves during that evil period of American history. What was owed for the evil of the slavery was paid for in the blood of hundreds of thousands who fought and died in the war to end it.

Think about how much money it would take just to pay every black person $1000.00,nevermind $500,000.00. Our country would go bankrupt instantly.
