What's wrong with that? People go to parties and they eat meat. It is wrong to actually see what it's like to slaughter an animal? If you eat meat, the animal is being slaughtered for you, you just don't see it.

Grow a thicker skin and learn to accept reality.
By that logic I should be able to drop my pants and take a dump in the middle of the party. After all, every time I eat I eventually have to take a dump, you just don't see it.

The only thing i have an issue with is them printing it in a magazine, one primarily designed for kids/teens/young adults...

Granted, they started recalling them, but still.... nudity and disemboweled goats in Playstation magazine?

I don't think any company could screw up worse than Sony if they tried to.

atleast when other companies screw up, they try to hide it until getting caught. seems like sony doesnt even care about hiding it

its called publicity.. and the Europeans seem to have a different acceptance than we do.

i applaud them actually. they got some balls to do something outlandish. they got the publicity they wanted, and that article just sold how gruesome the game is. Those who are looking for that kind of product just found it. '

i could care less what a company does for promotion of their products. its the product itself that matters to me.

wow, please tell me you're kidding...

"i don't care if they rape children and then murder them in satanic rituals, at long as the game is good"

wow
because companies do that? im talking in terms of things that are not crimes.

I never get invited to the good parties. 🙁

How does a painted-on tubetop fit into the ancient era theme? 😕

i dont get what the big deal is...

goats are killed all the time. i doubt it died any more violently than those in a slaughterhouse...

This from a company who won't allow pr0n to be sold on Blue-Gay disks.

wtf...what the hell were they thinking

International headlines.

You could argue that any press is good press, even if it's bad press. But considering how much bad press Sony has gotten over the PS3, they should have sold 15 million of them by now. 😉

I thought that was a myth?

I for one find it funny as hell 🙂 Though I seriously doubt Sony et all meant to produce such a tremendous gaffe, the sheer largess of it is deserving of my appreciation.

it is in the UK which isn't as prudish and zomg-jesus-is-going-to-send-me-to-hell-ish as we are.

People here won't mind the boobies (quite the opposite I expect) but the animal rights nutters will be all over the goat thing - using the death of animals for entertainment etc - despite the fact it certainly would have been killed and eaten anyway.

you gotta hand it to sony for repeatedly entertaining us with these stories and stupid news time after time since the announcement of the PS3 price 😀

There was an arstechnica article on this. The manufacturing facilities refuse to print porn because they claim sony will pull their licenses if they do.

LoL.

Do the non-vegetarians think, steak or any type of meat magically appear?
Animals are slaughtered.
If Sony Subcontracted a company to market the game that has some relation to the way of life back in the day, then so be it.

I have no problems with it whatsoever.

As another poster mentioned before, the only thing that seems out of place is the guy in the hamster skin.

come on, the religious fanatics in this country would be bitching about it before it even started.

god this sounds like fun... I've got to say. I'm against animal cruelty but that only counts when it's alive. If they killed a goat it's dead and doesn't matter what they do to the body.

basically only 1 goat for the stunt ant a few more for offal. A cow had to die for your burger. Get over it.
