he used brass knuckles... you don't use brass knuckles in a fist fight. that's called cheating.

how do you get banned from a fist fight then?

Yeah. What was he banned from? Is your brother in the UFC DP?

i'm pretty sure he didn't mean that he was LITERALLY banned...

he's speaking to atot... saying someone's banned should be obvious to you both that he got owned for doing something that was wrong.

sounds a bit like a stretch to me. where's the op so we can find out for sure?

how is that a stretch? have you ever been in a real fight? whenever someone does something dirty, onlookers jump in and stop the asshole. they don't care if it's just fists, but if it's brass knuckles or a bottle, they'll jump in and stop him.

i'm not saying that the part about "cheating" is a stretch, i'm talking about the "banning" part. sometimes i wonder how you people function in real life.

it's atot slang, dude...

no, its not atot slang. banned is an actual word.

DP, what did you mean by banned so we can settle this.

looks like we've been syringered

no, i know banned is an actual word... but it's also used in slang...

what i'm saying is that he could have easily meant that the guy got owned for doing something wrong... kinda like what the mods do.

I am laughing like crazy reading this. Are you guys (not you eits) so stuck in the internet that you do not know how a real fight works? I thought this was common knowledge. Right now, DP is probably nursing a hurting hand from tensing his muscles in typing what he did. I doubt he will return to explain anytime soon. DP was vague with his explanation since an explicit explanation can possibly be seen as bragging.

Typical bar room brawls are kept to a relatively low level to prevent actual permanent damage with an implicit understanding not to introduce weapons. Such fights are typically just guys testing themselves against others like two male deer fighting for the rights to a female. Nobody really wants to get permanently injured.

Therefore, when a weapon is introduced by someone, this escalates the fight to a dangerous level. If it is a small group and only person introduces the weapon, other people focus their involvement on removing the threat of that one guy with the weapon. This involves everyone else ganging up on this one guy to disable the heightened threat. This further means the guy with the brass knuckles most likely got his a@@ beat hard by several people. This is most likely what DP meant with the term "banned". He was just obliquely explaining it in ATOT understandable terms.

you can't tell from the x-ray whether he's right or left handed because there's no marker indicating which hand it is. the reason they make markers for x-rays are so people can read the film correctly (in other words, x-rays can be flipped backwards and forwards... light shines through the film to reveal the x-ray image. without a marker, you wouldn't be able to tell whether what you took a shot of is right or left).

dude, that has to be a left hand. the finger on a right has to be a thumb, and if it were his right hand his fingers would have to be like blowing back to be in that position. plus note the shape of the bones, curved toward the right.

i'm sorry but that still makes no sense. i'm also sorry that i don't regularly get into bar fights to know wtf you are talking about. I also don't consider getting beat up fun, especially over some skank. wtf are you, cave men?

the use of the word banned meaning he got the ****** kicked out of him makes no sense?
why would we understand banned more than "he got the ****** beat out if him"? i mean come on guys, at least make something sound logical here.

It is ok that you and others do not understand. I also have never participated in such fights but I have been around them enough when in the navy to understand the basic rules. Basically, these guys are physically testing themselves similar to the intellectual testing involved in the debates on the forum here. Similar to the way many people here enjoy the intellectual debates and working to emerge on top, people get involved in such fights for enjoyment or stress relief and hope to come out on top.

after i hit him a few others joined in.

he cheated, he got banned.

People saw the weapon and they ganged up on the guy with the weapon to take him out so he was not a further danger. He cheated by introducing a weapon because this increases the danger potential of the fight. He got banned from the fight by being taken out of it. The only way he could get taken out is by a bouncer, police, friends, or physically beaten to the point he could no longer participate. This is an effective method of teaching him not to introduce a weapon next time.

ok, if two guys are in a fistfight and one pulls a knife, fight's over and the guy with the knife gets owned for even trying to pull that ******. Similar thing with the knuckles

do you live in a town where the citizens are volunteer police? Where I live, a dude can pull a bat on a woman, and unless somebody watching loves to fight and is looking for an excuse to get involed in it, nobody helps.

as far as rules, street fights don't have them really, I mean it's definitly pvssy for a dude to pull a weapon, but unless you got Big John Macarthy there to ref it, or some watches who want to see a fair fight. You're done for.

Besides, helping somebody can result in the other person coming back with a gun/friends with guns and you can die.

if you're fighting and somebody pulls a weapon you gotta fight dirty with whatever you got :)

when i say bro i mean my actual blood brother.

I did not mean to imply you were bragging. I apologize if that is how my previous statement appears.

I hope you obtain the necessary medical attention to fix this break and that it does not continue to be a problem. That is a bad break. This is the first time I have ever seen something like that. Here's to a speedy recovery.

here's an analogy to sum it up:

he was cheating at a lan party.

err.. i can see people still being confused. 3 or 4 of us were on him like a hobo on a balogna sandwich and mopped the floor with his ass then kicked it for not getting in the corners. we had him saying yes sir to us before he ran out in the street.

Being a bar fight expert this is the normal flow of bar fight unsaid rules.

Bar fight etiquette

Bar fights are very touchy........

1. If both fighters are of sound (didn't say sober) mind and the fight is clean the fight normally usually ends when one person gets the better of the other person or security breaks it up.

2. if one fighter is getting beat down and has a large posse than this may strike at the pride of said posse and a p town beat down may insue. (many on one)

3. if both fighter have large posse and the fight is one sided you will normally witness further posse altercation and an all out bar brawl... (many on many)

in ops said situation it appeared to be a typically one on one fight until said weapon was introduced (knuckles) and then a number 2. ensued and the said fighter with weapon was "banned" "beat down" etc.

get off the internet and go to a local popular bar with young people

you will see it live in action any weekend night. thursdays if you are in college towns......
