you can't tell from the x-ray whether he's right or left handed because there's no marker indicating which hand it is. the reason they make markers for x-rays are so people can read the film correctly (in other words, x-rays can be flipped backwards and forwards... light shines through the film to reveal the x-ray image. without a marker, you wouldn't be able to tell whether what you took a shot of is right or left).
