Hello guys,
I have recently bought new computer, and installed Skyrim, and he works really slow, on low fps (lags).
I will really appriciate if anyone can tell me whats wrong here. I have tryed to run on the medium and low setting.
Thats my computer:
i3-2100 CPU
3.10 GHZ
4 GB RAM
gforce 210

I have also updated my graphic card. Maybe there is more things I need to install/update?

Thanks!

The graphics card is very very low end. Although Skyrim is quite CPU bound (especially outdoors), the graphics card should meet a minimum spec. Honestly, the Geforce 210 is no good for gaming.

Or did you mean, you updated your graphics card from a Geforce 210 to something else? If so, what card do you actually have?

Despite your grammar being horrible, I can see that you have a very low end card. The GeForce 210 is not fast enough to play Skyrim.

Your GT 210 is nearer the 0 fps mark than the HD6450 level performance.

Obviously, the other posters are correct. Actually, I dont even know why they would but a GT 210 in that computer. I doubt that it is much faster than the integrated GPU on the i3 2100.

That 210 was an upgrade? I assume from the onboard 2000 graphics, but even calling the 210 a sidegrade in the gaming department is generous. The only reason I'd see using one of those is to get around the 24p bug in video playback. In games it's worse than the onboard.

Post full specs of your computer. An upgrade will depend on that, the resolution you want to play Skyrim, your budget and where you buy parts.

I assume he meant he "upgraded" the driver for the 210. I would assume that it is an off the shelf system with a weak power supply. However, I would think something like a HD6670 might work and give decent performance at moderate resolutions.

I am using a 9800GT and an E4500 at 1440 x 900 and can run medium with a few settings turned higher. The game seems to pretty well max out both my GPU and CPU and eventually slows to a crawl if I turn it to high. Since his CPU is much better, a 6670 might give decent performance without having to upgrade the power supply as well.

yeah g210 is an abysmal card for gaming. even a wimpy 4 year old 8600gt is over 2.5 times faster as that pos. a g210 does not even meet the minimum requirements for hardly any game made in the last 2-3 years.

I guess a Geforce GTX 560 or 550 is a decent buy. Again, how much money are you willing to spend?

What resolution, what settings? Indoors, outdoors? The 2100 is quite strong. I would pair it with the strongest card the OP can afford (reasonably of course).

Well, it kind of depends on the OP's Power Supply also.

I say an HD6770 should work fine. Its not a power hog, and is plenty fast enough to run Skyrim on moderate settings.

I would guess the PSU dosent have a 6 pin connector. Not sure what the fastest card would be, 6670?

I believe the 6670 would be the fasted generally available card. I have a low power 9800 GT which does not require an external power connector, even though nVidia says it needs a 400 watt power supply. This is probably nearly as fast as the 5670/6670. I dont know if the low power (EE edition) 9800GT is still avaliable though. I have been using it for a year now on a 300 watt OEM power supply without problems.
