Skyrim keybinding/glitch help

Hope the mods dont move this into the general skyrim thread, but whatever.

I have a very specific question about the sprint command. It doesnt seem to work for me at all. I can toggle run/walk with the caps lock as you are supposed to, but whether I am in run or walk mode, hitting the sprint key (Alt) does nothing. If I am moving and hit the sprint key, I just keep moving at the same speed. If I am standing still and hit it, I dont move at all.

All the other keybindings seem to work as they are supposed to, and I have tried mapping sprint to another key, but that did not help either. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I just not doing it correctly, or is it a true bug??

I really needed this to get past one of the puzzles, and thought I was stuck, but somehow kept mashing keys until I got through it, but dont really know what I did.

Thats called "taunting the mods" and you should expect to get reprimanded for it.

Also, had you looked in the official thread, this issue has been addressed multiple times.
