So, I want to use a weapon in one hand and a spell in the other. So, I choose a favorite weapon and assign it to my right hand by pressing the mouse button and then pressing 1. I then assign the spell to my other hand. However, when I press 1, the weapon will come up in the opposite hand, and no spell. So, I try to do it by assigning number 1 to the spell. Again, when I press 1, the spell is either in the wrong hand or I am dual wielding the same spell. What am i missing, or is this part of the crappy UI?

Several threads where you can ask this.

This is my only real complaint with the interface. Hotkeys for items and spells automatically go into your left hand first. There doesn't seem to be a way to hotkey an item or spell into a specific hand. Although as a pure mage I can just hit the same spell twice to put it in both hands then do whatever for the left hand.
