Skype problems

We use skype at the office to talk to remote offices.

There's one machine a Dell, powerful machine, 2gig ram. WinXpPRO SP2.

Skype runs slow and it uses 100% of the CPU. The audio is all choppy. I'm sure it's not the software. I removed it, re-installed. Downgraded. Same thing.

I've googled, and did all the stuff I found, same results!

I think it's a driver problem, just wondering if anyone has any issues/experiences like this..

We also use skype at work on all sorts of machine and also with different versions but have not had that problem. Are you using it with USB headset?
