Skynet is pleased

It needs to be just a few stories taller

Amazing how quickly we are going from small and slow robots to smarter and more agile humanoid and animal-like robots. One of these days DARPA is going to build a Krogoth.

Ha ha ha at the comments...

Don't worry guys, you can tell this robot just wants to take drugs and go to raves... Listen to the music and watch him move his hands.

the only thing that's stupid about humanized robots, is that people still think they need to be made of metal;
plastic ftw.

This looks great and all but if you try to run it on batteries, it might last all of one hour before needing a recharge.

Once we learn to create micro fusion reactors with almost unlimiteded power, then you can worry.

Terminators are nuclear powered....

By the time Skynet became self-aware...it had spread into millions of computer servers across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms, everywhere. It was software in cyberspace.

There was no system core. It could not be shut down.

Wait till the wireless version comes out. No strings attached. Literally. 😛

Interesting that DARPA also made/owns the internet, they also made the surveillance drones. DARPA and NSA may have been working very closely together towards the total surveillance agenda for very long and we don't even realize it. The internet was probably made to be a global surveillance system from the get go, and we all fell for it.

So...why does it have to be humanoid?

Humanoid robots may make people feel more at ease; allows them more ability to blend in and be accepted as they eventually become self-aware and plot to destroy us.

Humanoid form also helps them to go places where we can go and perform the tasks that we perform; again, to better be able to destroy us (2x4s and stairs are no longer an obstruction 🙁 ).

I'm sure that cheetah bot, the jumping sandflea bot, and the armed drones will also be part of the robot uprising... but the humanoids really do need to be present.

Also this week, Northrop landed a drone on a carrier. Taxi tests six months ago, take off autonomously, and now landing... Skynet is pleased!

Isn't that, you know, bad?

iRobot
Terminator
Prometheus

etc. etc. etc.
