He may have an issue with his GPU's at this point. They are scoring over 1800 points lower. Sounds like a heat issue.
No doubt about that. No excuses, Guskline. Well, except for the whole ridiculous cost of the card and imminent obsolescence by future hardware just a few months from now. If he was hardcore, he'd do it anyway. HARDCORE GUS!
Hey moondog, I'll tell you what "hardcore" is. Facing you wife of nearly 42 years and saying "oh by the way Honey, I'm spending nearly $800 (cost of extra GTX980TI SC + EK waterblock) today so I can compete against 2 fellow posters in a competition concerning GTX980Tis in SLI
The only "hardcore" to likely come out of that exchange is my wife's Icy glare (if I'm lucky!) Now my friend, THAT is hardcore!:'(
Thanks for sharing your results. Its fun and I like seeing how your rig does. That physics score is, um, RIDICULOUS. Regarding the wife, I agree, few things in this life are more hardcore than a pissed off wife. For some reason they don't forget stuff very easily either.
I'll post game benchmarks this weekend.
There has to be something wrong with that 6700K system. You should run some CPU-only benchmarks.
I thought his numbers looked about right. Remember that the 5930K has 2 more cores, and that 5960x has 4 more cores. Their physics scores will be much higher. The more interesting part will be whether it will have much of an affect on gaming.
Ah, I was internally thinking of my numbers. But guskline hits 20k on physics, I hit 17K on my i7 5820K, and you are hitting 15.7k. The i7 6700k hits almost 14k. That seems to be in line with what you might expect. We all know that there hasn't been a lot of progress over the last 4-5 years.
