update: black is on backorder, blue is still available.

seems like a hot deal, aluminum cases are usually run for more. i'm not sure about the dependability of the case though, anyone got input?

fedex ground = $14.95 for me
so turns up $25 for an okay case...its getting close to a hot deal maybe

ground is $13.95 here for me, but the cooling looks abysmal on this thing. doesn't seem like there's even any way to mod in an 80 mm fan to the back.

I got one of these (the silver) from Xoxide about a year ago (came with window) for about $25 and have to say they're definitely worth it. You can add an 80mm fan to the back (it has a mounting space for it). It's a very lightweight case that you shouldn't abuse, but besides that for $25 it really can't be beat.

I have the black case sitting in my closet I got from dealsonic........

It looks horrible!! Its a one coat textured flat black paint, its not smooth nor is it glossy. It looks cheap, I almost wondered if it wasnt the plain case painted black by someone other then skyhawk themselfs to sell (black versions allways been hard to find).

It doesnt look anything like the pictures would lead you to beleive. Plus the aluminum is just to thin, a box of cornflakes weighs more. The 60mm rear fan hole either your going to want to put some superloud delta in there or an 60-80mm fan adapter mounted on the outside (adapter wont fit on the inside to close to the motherboard).

Edit: I only see one black one there Part#: DSSH4377BK , thats the case im talking about

I was thinking about the back 60mm which may be hard to mod to 80mm.

so i just go to ebuyer to get a no ps case for $14 (shipping include)

Just FYI, I've found Skyhawk's cases built on this chasis style to have poor ventilation and do not come with all of the available (optional) parts that end up costing an arm and leg to make it into a decent case.

I've learned to avoid their cases no matter how "inexpensive" to start. 🙁

Just to add to Karaktu info....we ordered and built 6 Rigs off of their Cases and none of the front Ports would handle USB Hi-Speed :|

I have three cases using the same chassis, but with different fronts. They are worth what you pay for them, so if you have need of a case for $25 shipped with no PS, then go for it. The case is functional and works fine for systems not needing super cooling. Don't confuse this with more expensive cases and you'll be fine.

I used to sell their cases up until about a year or so ago. They were fine cases for those who weren't planning on overclocking, modding or needing anything expensive -- I had Antec / Chenming cases for those people. The aluminum Skyhawk cases were very thin and did tend to bend in if you abused them. I personally never had any issues running USB v2.0 high speed thumb drives off the front ports as an above poster mentioned. As for the paint jobs on them, never noticed anything funky in the black paintjobs, yeah they weren't the 00ber-1337 sonata glossy piano black, but did suffice. Good case for the $$$, just don't think you are going to turn it into a 00ber-modded-pimped-out-rig.

I have the silver Skyhawk aluminum case and I like it. The temps aren't bad at all in it. I have a hot 5900 Ultra in my case and the temp stays around 30 c. and 37 c for my processor.
