i've gone three time, it's absolutely amazing. although nothing beats the thrill of jumping the first time, i had more fun the second time because i was less worried about minor details. (if you get the event recorded, they tell you to look up at the camera so that the video come out good. this, in turn, prevents you from enjoying the free fall and gazing at the vast stretches of earth, as you barrel down at a couple hundred miles an hour.

As for how dangerous it is... yeah. It's not the safest thing in the world. But you only live once, and I think it's probably more likely that we will die from being rear ended than from your chute not opening.

Actually your chute not opening is rare, and the backup chute packed by the FAA is EXTREMELY rare. You're several times more likely to get killed by colliding with the airplane or another jumper.

Looks like the conditions were just right for a bunch of little ice crystals nailing you in the face 😛 (is that why you were covering your chin?
