they had the wrong ending!!

the ending should have been:


joe and polly climb aboard the rocket. they disable the thing that was going to destroy the Earth, but they can't stop the rocket or get off. so they go to a new planet and become the "adam and eve" for the new planet with all those animals to start a new earth/human world


i don't see too many movies in the theatre and the wife has the netflix queue backed up a bit, so i just watched this movie saturday. i fell asleep for about 10 minutes, but didn't seem to have missed much

anyway, if this was real sci-fi book , the ending would have been like ^^^

My problem with it was the entire time I felt like I was in a "dream". The colour of the whole thing just kind of bothered me. It was hard to watch.

The cinematography was amazing, but the plot was kinda meh.

Actually, I liked it a lot, and it has gathered a lot of critical acclaim. But you are right about lots of people not liking it.

I found the girl too obsessed with her pictures.

Storyline was kinda blah. Not going to watch it again.

I agree, would have been a better ending.

Not sure why she cared to save all those miniaturized animals - not like they could be reintroduced into the animal kingdom.

I know those viles were suppose to be the new "adam and eve", but I didn't understand their actual importance?

The funny thing is that even had she recovered her film from the cave, it would have been ruined from the radiation.

The acting was terrible. I know they tried to get a "period" pulp sound to the acting, but they failed.
