Skipping Problems while playing media.. HELP ME!!

I'm having skipping problems and the media fast forwards not by much..annoying as heck though , while playing movies, ie divx

ok.. current setup

abit vp6
dual p3 750's
512mb ram
ati rage fury pro 32mb
edit* use win2k

any reasons.. i have all the updates use divx5.0 and Gdivx but its the same..

please help me out
 
Have you installed any programs lately? I noticed the same thing after installing ulead 5. I had to reinstall the OS. 🙁
