agreed. Also, a lot is going to depend on how you're willing to spend. (in my experience at least)--- lilttle late now, but a lot of places have great sales in the spring and summer, and you can get crazy deals on all sorts of ski equipment.

yea go to a ski shop, but aby of the main brands will be fine. Nordica, technica, rsingnol.... whoever else makes boots now

I made the mistake of buying boots online

sure they were REALLY cheap but damn, comfort is so important when it comes to ski boots...

try them on and buy that way...

Been a couple of years since I bought boots but I always found Nordica to have the widest fit (I have wide feet)

You could always try 'em in store and then search online for the best price. Just a thought.

I bought some Atomics a couple of months ago because they were the only ones that were just really comfortable for my ankles (I also have big ankles). They were quite expensive, but worth every penny. Here they are . I can't find these on their web site though.

Oh and Nordica apparently changed suppliers this year and their new collection isn't made for wide ankles anymore. Nordicas were the first boots I tried when I went to buy boots and they didn't fit at all.

Some shops (hopefully they do it right) will fit it for you. This entails heating the liners, custom footbeds and even grinding the bootshell. Thats why buying online off the rack may not be a good idea. I have weird feet so my boots needed some work to fit properly.
