SK-7 or SLK-700 fine for OC'd 2100+?

i'm going to be building an athlon system around the 2100+ and an 8RDA+ pretty soon, and i have been looking at cooling. i've been eyeing the SLK-900, and the recently announced SLK-800U, but the 900 is pricey and the 800U will probably be almost as pricey. on the other hand, the Sk-7 and the SLK-700 are both rather cheap, and i was wondering if they would be fine for an oc'd (hopefully to 2.4 gHz) t-bred b 2100+. i am not considering the slk-800 as i am rather leary to hang that much weight off of the socket, and the computer will be moved occasionaly. i would probably put a panaflo H1A (or equivalent) onto whatever heatsink i get (except for the 900, on which i would attach a 92 mm fan).

If the SLK-900 will fit, I'd go with it. I agree about the weight hanging off the cpu socket. I decided to go with the SK-7 and it's ok but I'd have gone with 900 if it weren't for the fact that I'd have to bent some caps to make it fit. 🙁

I have a SK7 on a 2100+ and 8RDA+. I have a Smart Fan II on it now but had a Panaflow High flow on it before. I only over clocked it to 2100Mhz (2400+ territory) and it idled at 34-36C and loaded to 40-42C. Generic case with a L1As front and back, 92mm stealth on side pointed at CPU and another on top as a blow hole.

the sk-7 is $20 at SVC, which i consider a pretty decent price. does anyone have any objections to the Sk-7 cooling a 2.4 gHz t-bred b? my case is gonna have a ton of ventilation.

Yes, but SVC is out of stock for the sk-7. I can't find it anywhere for the price svc had it for ($26 shipped).

I've got an SK-7 topped by a Panaflo L1A on my (non-OC'd) Tbred 2100+. My temps run at about 45 constant up to around 50 after a couple hours of Unreal 2003. I also run SETI full time, so its never really 'idle'. With summer coming, I may switch to a little higher powered fan, but I will wait to see. I'd like to have it cooler, but it's well within specs...
