Sorry is this is dumb question, just wanted to know before I purchased.

That means the ps has the 2 extra cables to plug into a high end P3 or P4 motherboard. For AMD based systems, you can just not use these extra cables. For P3/P4 systems they allow the processor to go into low power mode if it overheats, so that it can cool. I guess this is good, as the machine keeps working instead of shutting down or burning up the chip, but there's a heck of a performance hit. I'd much rather just have a well cooled AMD system....wait, I do!

Thanks ClakClak, I couldn't resist. I ordered 4, mostly because the price, & mostly no price gouging on shipping. Only $14.40 shipping for 4 cases and an extra "sale" 550 watt power supply. A steal ! Ordered Monday, arrived Wednesday. Expertly packed, double boxed with peanuts. Confirmation e-mail, tracking numbers.Excellent price, excellent service. Thanks guys.
:D:)

The case looks like it has a panel on the bottom front that has USB sockets. Can anyone who has received the case confirm that the USB sockets are USB 2.0? Also, does it have firewire or audio jacks?

USB slots are USB slots. They're all the same. It's the motherboard that supports 1 or 2.

Yup. Audio jacks up front too. No firewire.

Hey thanks for clearing that up for me! :D I think I'm going to hold off for a case with firewire in the front though.

Nice cheap case. I'll bite one for my brother in-laws PC.

Power supply is Rhycon, does anybody heard about that?

I got my case today, pretty flimsy, so I don't think there's going to be much cutting going on with it as far as modding is concerned. I have a Shuttle board and an AthlonXP 1700+ coming that I'm going to throw in it, I guess I'll see how the PSU is, I don't expect much tho, probably replace it with a cheaper model Antec 400W unit.
Overall, I'm not disappointed, using this case to build a PC that will sit in my entertainment center to watch DiVX movies and play games off of. Even my wife thought it looked very nice.

thanks clak,

Bought 4 with s/h $35.00 (8.75/ea). Hard to beat $27.00/ea for a Mid case/w450 PS. Will be used in a non "OC" enironment (office PC).

Update:

I now have a nice AthlonXP 1700+ system running in this case, using the supplied PSU, been running for a little over 2 days with zero problems. 40GB HDD, 512MB PC2700, Radeon 9000 Vivo, Shuttle KT333 mobo, everything is working perfectly, no freezes of any kind. The side panels on the case are VERY flimsy, but otherwise it's a good setup that looks great in my home entertainment center, which is what I wanted.

This is one POS!!!!No support in the center of the MB so no CPU changes without removing the board from the case. The standoffs are twice as tall as a normal case and they only include four:| Oh well a cheap lesson,if it seems too good to be true.....

sorry to read that. but your expectations for such a cheap case could not have been that far off. thankfully the service you
received was excellent and you gave them their kisses on resellerratings.com

i'm worried myself about the quality of some of these speciously impressive bargains. its one thing to receive a cheap case,
quite another to receive a cheap psu that squirts too much current into your mb :Q

this APC 430W P4 ATX Power Supply (Free Shipping) is only 22.99 !
but should i bite ?

Thanks ClackClack!

Bought one to start my first home built pc with. Had it sent to my office since shipping is $2 cheaper...hehe.

BTW, I just found this site yesterday and am an addict. The standard looks high (yay!) for a hot deal, and I hope to be worthy!

My first hot deal buy and my first post.

Got my case.

Things I like:

Price!!!
Looks decent
Spot to mount fan @ front of case
USB Ports, headphone and mic on front bottom of case

Things I dont like:
I only got 2 standoffs!! LOL
PS does not have bottom fan/vent
Front of case has to be unscrewed to removed (6 screws)
No place to put an exhaust fan.

Verdict: I still think it was a hot deal, but when/if I start trying my hand at overclocking I'll need a different case.

PSU is Rycom. +5v=35, +12v=15, +3.3v=26 Made in China - Feb 2003.
-----------
Edited to add this new info:

Umm...PSU is DOA. I called and they asked me to ship just the PSU back and will send me some more standoffs.
