size of zalman cnps7000a

i have a msi neo2 mobo, and i wanted to know if this heatsink will fit. it seems a little big...if it doesnt fit, i think im just gonna go with the venus 12. suggestions, anyone?

If the weight issue is because you don't want the HSF to pull on the socket, don't worry the HSF is bolted to the MB.

I don't have any experience with the Venus 12, but I heard it's a good HSF too.

If you're worried about weight, go for the Aluminum\Copper (CNPS7000A AlCu) Zalman. Performs just the same as the all copper version and is lighter.

The XP-90 is hands down the better hs. Get a good 92mm fan and you won't regret it. Also it is very light and fits the stock retention brackets. My temps at 3.8 are 38 idle and 45 load on my Prescott.
