Size 8 on a woman is equivalent to what on a man?

Let's say you want to buy a sweatshirt for a female relative and she wears size 8. But the sweatshirts only have men's size indicators on them (small, medium, large, x-larget etc). What would be the correct size for her?😕

Fat people are taking over the clothing industry. Do you know how hard it is to find small shirts? Everything is in L, and 50% is in M. 10% is S.
 
small would likely be it, but if it is to be a little loose m is also a safe bet.

also, be sure she is really a size 8 -- designer inmterpretation of that number varies greatly

No, they go much much higher, but for the people who care about chicks being attractive, size 9 is pretty much the max 😉

FYI, I dated a girl who was 5'5" and 105 lbs. Her dress size "0 petite"!!! :Q She was hot, and I miss her 😉 I think the most beautiful women on earth are mixed Asian/anything. I've dated two girls who were white/Chinese, one girl who was white/black, and I am trying to date a girl who is white/Puerto Rican now. And there's another girl on a distant future dating schedule for me who is Chinese/Filipino 🙂

Yeah, I would suggest a medium as well...I dunno why people would say small for a size 8, as that's not exactly thin. Yes, my perspective on women is skewed, as I like them thin, but 8 is realistically "average", probably a little more than that actually, and hence, medium.

I think a girl can be in great shape and look good wearing a size 10 or so. Women's body types can vary so widely, that a lot of girls can look good even wearing larger sizes, its all about the amount of muscle they carry, as opposed to lard.
