It's looking a lot like summer here.

don't tell me you don't miss the snow at Christmastime. admit it. come on.

Okay, I admit it...Fall and Christmas time are my favorite times in upstate NY.
we have nice Summers too. it's just that winter is soooooooo long.

Yeah. But it's nice having the full spectrum of temperature and weather, from cold and snowy winters to hot and dry summers and everything between. Sure, a balmy 70 degrees is nice most of the time, but variety is the spice of life. Plus, we don't get as many horrible natural disasters as some of other states.

Why do I always think of something inappropriate when I see "6 inches"?

Nah, it's too humid there during the summer. Too many mosquitos as well.

What is this...snow you speak of?

It was friggin freezing this morning. It dipped down to almost 42 degrees... I had a tough time getting out of my bed. Out of my office, I see blue skies, the la jolla beach, and blue ocean littered with surfers....silly surfers, it's too cold right now to surf.. give me back my parking spots :|

And here I am thinking that the OP bought some Extenze or something. 6" would be some kind of record for a girl.

Life in "the jewel'...I like LaJolla...nice town, although too spendy for me...my son (USMC who was stationed at Miramar) got married on the beach there in 2005.

It's been chilly here in Northern Kahleeforneeya too. hit 32 the other morning...and down into the mid 30's all week...(BRRRRR)

I gotta admit, having grown up in snow country, Christmas morning is the only time I really miss seeing snow.

Kahleeforneeya winters just don't seem like Christmas for us, and my wife has slowly been losing her Christmas spirit...and she used to be known as Mrs. Christmas...

Oh well, I guess it's less work for me when it comes to decorating. We're heading to Maui tomorrow (lots of rain and wind predicted :( ) and she didn't even want to put up a Christmas tree this year...(we get home just before Christmas)

It's coming down pretty consistently. Parts of the Northeast are going to get 12 - 18" of snow today.

Hush, you! It took me half an hour just to get out of the parking lot at work yesterday. SNOW FTL. Not to mention taking me twice as long to get home :(.

I wish it would snow here, but here in So Cal, I've gotta drive about an hour to get to the mountains for snow. :(

Southern Tier (EDIT: The area with the Spiedies :p). Some of the roads were kind of bad (which was surprising, I was driving on a state route), but that same road got a lot better and much, much more clear about halfway. The biggest thing I saw going wrong was people driving normal distances from each other. Haven't they heard of keeping more distance and not tailgating in such inclement driving conditions .
