Been trying out the situps where your torso is suspended off the bench.

The problem is ,, I feel blood rushing to my head get a headache.

Is that suppose to happen. Or am I doing something wrong.

The actually stress on my abs seems fine.

If you aren't used to going upside down, then yes, the blood rush to the head will be uncomfortable. Handstand push-ups used to really mess with my head and even leave me with slightly bloodshot eyes. Sit-ups where you go below parallel (such as GHD sit-ups) not only get you upside down, but will also drive lots of blood to the head from the centrifugal force of your body pivoting around the hips. However, as with most things, the body will adapt in time, and you'll feel fine.

It's called postural hypertension. Your body senses too high of a blood pressure at your neck and responds by attempting to lower it. When you change your posture rapidly, you don't have time to accommodate and the drop in blood pressure makes you dizzy. You can get used to it with time like brikis said. It's a completely normal feeling if you new to exercises where your body is inverted. It'll get better though - perhaps slowing the movement may allow your body more time to acclimate. I'd try that.

The slower i do it, the more blood seems to be rushing to my head. But I will continue as suggested. I'm switching to doing this every other day.

thx.

before you do that, check your resting blood pressure. lots of people walk around with high blood pressure and don't know it. if you have high blood pressure, this definitely isn't something you should continue doing.
