What "spin-offs" can you guys think of...

The Jeffersons and Frasier have to be two of the most successful ones that immediately come to mind.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is NOT a spin-off of Seinfeld. It's a different show made by the same guy.

A spin-off usually follows a character from the previous show into a new one.

Just The Ten of Us was a spin-off of Growing Pains.
