Sisters comp cant connect to me

she has win98, i have win2k, i have her username set up as a user on my comp, but when i try to connect to my comp from hers it wants a password, i enter in the one i set up, but it doesnt work wuts goingon?

Adjust the settings in the Windows Network Properties, make sure that you've selected Client for Microsoft Networks, and that she has the same user / pass that she logs into on her PC.

Make sure you guys are joined to the same workgroup, restart computer and login to the workgroup that you have just joined. Assign proper permisions to shared folders and files, also make sure the files that you're sharing are of the same file system.(FAT32, Win98 can not recognize NTFS).

Not true. Different file systems CAN share folders. Win98 can see NTFS folders just fine across the network. I've done this a million times at work and home.

Make sure your Windows 2000 computer has an account with same user name AND password she uses to log on to Windows 98. Then, share a folder, and give that account full control (or whatever) of it.
